Registered Family vs Certified Family

Thank you everyone for the feedback from the first video breakdown. If you missed the first newsletter explaining earning potentials between licensed and unlicensed, check out my part one video. Now that we are all in agreeance that licensed care provides the best return on investment of our time and energy, let’s dive into the two licensed types in Oregon

The two are a Registered Family License (RF) and a Certified Family License (CF). RF programs can be licensed to care for up to 10 children at one time. Whereas, the CF program can be licensed to care for up to 16 children at one time. That alone lets you know that the earning potential is greater with CF.

The video, below shares how RF programs have the potential to earn over $119k gross. That means unlicensed providers are leaving more than $80k on the table by staying unlicensed. There is very little difference in the requirements to hold an RF-licensed as there is to be an unlicensed ERDC-approved provider. Which has always made me wonder, why stay unlicensed. My best guess was they didn’t know what was being left on the table.

When we looked at the same student breakdown for CF as we did for RF, we found that the earning potential with the same 10 children was over $170K gross annually. That means just having a CF license following RF student ratios, you have the potential to earn over $59k more annually! Come on now! It’s very clear CF is the way to go.

Watch the full breakdown and numbers of both in the video below spoken with fullon Southern AAVE. Please subscribe, like the video, share, and leave a comment! Thank you in advance for your support.
